Job Title: TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES
Compensation: Competitive BASE salary plus commissions

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a design, engineering, and fabricating firm specializing in WEAR CONTROL TECHNOLOGY, that is, the development and manufacturing of improved methods for eliminating metal wear problems within a multitude of industries. Due to extreme growth our client is looking for both EXPERIENCED and ENTRY LEVEL TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES to add to its OUTSIDE SALES force throughout North America to CALL on a number of thriving industries such as Power, Mining, Cement, Construction, Pulp/Paper, Waste, Glass, and/or Fabrication. Our client is looking for SALES candidates with PREFERRED experience within the COAL FIRED POWER and/or within the MINING INDUSTRY residing within the states of ARKANSAS, IOWA, LOUISIANA, KANSAS CITY, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NORTH DAKOTA, TEXAS and WISCONSIN.

The compensation package involves a BASE SALARY plus COMMISSION even though the Technical Sales Reps will be working out of their HOME OFFICE adding valuable resources to the company already existing outside sales force. The travel will be pretty much out and back on most given days since it is within the state territory. It is basically going out to see customers within your state territory and then coming back so you won’t be gone for days. Texas might involve more overnight travel than say Wisconsin, just due to the size of the state.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Interface directly with industrial and utility plant personnel to identify business opportunities and develop solutions to customer’s concerns and problems with existing services and equipment.
* Ability to deal with individuals at all levels in an organization including onsite operations and maintenance personnel.
* You will be selling based on value rather than price.
* Must have computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail, etc.)
* This position will require some overnight travel to support sales activity throughout a multi-state region.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 to 5+ years of SALES experience is a MUST.
* Engineering, Mechanical, Maintenance, and/or Plant Operations background is a MUST.
* Experience within the Coal Fired Power and/or within the Mining industry is a MUST.
* A successful candidate will be energetic, an effective communicator, and one who is able to excel in a team approach sales environment.
* Able to build long term relationships, and develop new business opportunities.
* Persistent self-starter with strong initiative.
