Technical / Presales / Test / Operations Support

Company: The Company is a smaller Value Added Reseller (VAR) that specializes in the BUY / SELL / TRADE of products from newer and emerging IT Storage hardware manufacturers.

Our Company saves customers thousands of dollars on new and used hardware, complete systems, add-ons, upgrades and parts. The hardware that we buy and sell includes a large selection of Storage Systems, Network Switches, IT Appliances and Equipment that attaches to Servers.

General: This is a key position to the success of the Company that relates to all aspects of the business and is continually growing.

Duties and responsibilities: This position will be involved in most aspects of the complete purchase, sales and delivery of the different products.

**Receive / Audit / Test / Ship IT Equipment (50-70% of Time)**

Check in and Audit IT equipment that is purchased
* Test incoming
* Set up and configure per manufacturer training and set IP address
* Package and ship
* Maintain Company Inventory equipment, parts and systems
Support:
* Phone support of customers asking (10-20%)
* Basic product overviews
* Answer basic technical questions on equipment / Capabilities
* Research on internet products / pricing / sources
* Use on-line services to source critical parts / products
* Provide eBay pricing for marketing ads
Marketing Support: Work with Marketing to advertise new equipment received

The company's Infrastructure:
* Consult on all ESX IT internal systems
* Outside customer work as required
* Seek and attend continuous training on different manufacturers – primarily on line

* Organized / Time management required
Qualifications:
* Some formal education in IT related area
* Basic networking / IP network skills
* MS Server – Ability to set up and configure servers
* Unix experience – Ability to set up and configure servers
* 4 yr degree not require but desirable
