* { font:inherit; } Meet Calvin!Calvin is our first emergency foster and we couldn't be happier. He has come so far in just four days! He was very shy and nervous at first, but now his personality is really coming out. He has the biggest smile and loves discovering new things. We keep wanting to call him Wilbur on account that he snorts and grunts like a little piggy, and from the front, kind of looks like one too! He will randomly crawl halfway up on your lap when you are sitting on the couch just to give you hugs, and he gets so excited that his whole butt wiggles with his tail! He likes to go outside and romp around in the grass or be inside laying on his back getting belly rubs. He gets along great with our Am. Staff girl. They like to play tug of war and keep-a-way and even drink out of the water dish together. When they are done playing, they curl up on the couch or floor with eachother. He is also very good with the cats. All he wants to do is smell them and he is very gentle. He has been around a bunch of young, rowdy kids for a whole night and didn't try to jump or chase them at all. He just sat there smiling and soaking up the attention. We are working on leash walking right now. He is so smart and stopped pulling after one time. However, he gets very excited when another dog goes by...or a squirrel...so he will have to be walked by an adult as he is pretty strong. However, he should be very easy to train. He is so smart. He is picking up on hand signals and commands after being with us for just a few short days. He is so eager to please you. He also got to discover the lake this weekend and learned how to swim.
