Pit Bull Terrier - Medium - Young - Female - Dog - Rena

Rena was given up to a shelter by a young man after he learned she was expecting a litter of puppies. We pulled her out of the shelter , as she was due to be euthanized. She had complications in her pregnancy and ended up losing her puppies, and almost did not make it herself. She is since spayed and recovered well and is a very healthy girl. We have had her here with us about 2 yrs. Rena is an affectionate companion, just wanting all your attention and hugs. She's about 3 years old. She is great with people, but seems to have issues with some smaller dogs. We WILL NOT place her with other pets just to be safe. Rena needs a responsible owner, willing to work with her on obedience and further housetraining. She is an eager learner and wants to please and we are positive she would excell just given a bit of quality time. She knows sit, is crate trained, and we are working on housetraining. She responds well to tone of voice and positive reinforcement. Rena is the type that when you sit down, she'll come up as close as she can get and park her butt right on your lap.
