Eugene is a 1 year old male Pit Bull Terrier that weighs about 50 pounds. He came to us from the Austin City dog pound. Animal control officers in Austin picked him up being loose, and placed him into the dog pound. The owner then has 10 days to claim their dog, but no one showed up to claim him, so we took him into our Humane Society shelter. Eugene does great with people and also with other dogs as long as they are introduced properly. He is not overly clingy or needy, and seems very content just hanging out. He is a high-energy breed dog though and will need some daily walks or jogs. He does not like shelter life too much, and we can't blame him for that.Eugene is neutered and is current with all vaccinations. In our Shelter, Eugene resides in a 5' x 10' kennel pen so it makes it hard for us to know if he is housetrained or not, but he does a good job of keeping his kennel pen clean. Eugene cannot be adopted as an outdoor dog, or as a guard dog.His adoption fee is $95. We utilize a short adoption application form to assess compatibility between dogs and their prospective homes. This form is a simple one-sided Microsoft Word document and it can be e-mailed to you upon request.
